Performa is a non-profit arts organization based in New York City that has organized and presented a biennial of performance art every two years since 2005. The biennial is credited as the first dedicated to live art.

History

Founded in 2004 by art historian and curator RoseLee Goldberg, Performa is dedicated to preserving and promoting the legacy of performance art.
