Geonext (own notation: ) is a free interactive geometry software written in Java. It is developed by the Lehrstuhl für Mathematik und ihre Didaktik (Chair of mathematics and its didactics) of the University of Bayreuth in Germany and released under the GNU General Public License.

History edit

Development started in 1999 as a spin-off of Geonet.[1]

On the Learntec 2007 in Karlsruhe, the developers of Geonext, Carsten Miller and Volker Ulm, won the eLearning innovation award (D-ELINA 2007). The software has been downloaded over 100.000 times.[1]
