‘‘Twas a cold winters day in mid January when a young man by the name of Dean Patton decided to leave his home and embark on a pilgrimage to the promised land (Antrim). His friends never seen him again after this and had him considered dead. He was pronounced dead/ missing by then on the 7/5/17 (what would’ve been his 15th Birthday). It was a sad day for all and they mourned his death with sorrow. Months went by and his friends still entertained the though of him not being dead, but deep down they knew the truth. Dean Patton was dead. This news saddened but did not destroy the group, they stuck together in hopes that one day he would return from death.
Many thought his spirt to haunt them, some even thought they seen him. Although never proven many considered his spurt to reside on the badminton court in Belfast Boys’ model. Some of his friends grew so distraught at his sudden diparture it changed them in huge ways. Others stayed the same. Still with hope for Dean’s return a brave leader, going by ‘Cheadle’ inspired hope in the group and attempted communication with Dean. He received no response. Eventually everyone lost all hope. Nearing a year of his departure all hope was gone.
More months passed by and it was Easter now. No one expected anything special to happen. But on 24/3/18 the hero returned!
The entire group rejoiced in Dean’s return as it marked a new beginning for them all. It let them all know that death is not the end. It is mearly a new beginning
