Hello, welcome. You can refer to me as CyM. I'm 20 and live in Canada. So much has changed recently, and yet so little. I've gotten into a few bad habits, including misanthropy. Though that's less of a habit, more of a defence mechanism.

Hero of Socialist Labour

Order of Lenin

After accusations of being a filthy pinko POV Warrior, Virgin Molotov Cocktail awarded Che y Marijuana the one of the highest decorations of the Soviet Union: Hero Of Socialist Labour.

The Heroes of Socialist Labor were awarded the highest decoration of the Soviet Union - the Order of Lenin - and given the certificate of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR. In order to specially distinguish the recipients of the award, they introduced the "Hammer and Sickle" gold medal by the decree of the Presidium on May 22, 1940. This medal was awarded together with the Order of Lenin and the certificate. The medal is always worn in full, just like with the Hero of the Soviet Union medal.

Marxism is the political practice and social theory based on the works of Karl Marx, a 19th century philosopher, economist, journalist, and revolutionary, along with Friedrich Engels. Marx drew on Georg Hegel's philosophy, the political economy of Adam Smith, Ricardian economics, and 19th century French socialism to develop a critique of society which he claimed was both scientific and revolutionary. This critique achieved its most systematic (albeit unfinished) expression in his masterpiece, Capital: A Critique of Political Economy (Das Kapital).

Since Marx's death in 1883, various groups around the world have appealed to Marxism as the intellectual basis for their politics and policies, which can be dramatically different and conflicting.

Within Marxism, it is the Trotskyists, Leninists, and to a lesser extent, Council communists, who I draw most of my Marxist influences from.
