The Gerald
editThe Gerald species are small, paper-like creatures with paws and have a lifespan of 5 to 85 years. They are around 8 inches tall and can range from 4 to 9 inches wide. Each Gerald has a different facial expression, therefore each has a vastly different personality. Some may make accessories for themselves to wear, hold, or use. Geralds come in 3 colors, white, pink, and green, possibly with stripes. Geralds wear nametags, mostly in their own language, however they do know English. They wear these because Geralds have a part of their brains missing to where they cannot remember names, other than their own, for longer than 2 days.
Geralds stay in groups called clans. There are two known current Gerald clans on Earth. Every clan has 1 to 2 Elder Geralds, usually males. The Elders are typically much taller than normal Geralds, about 12 to 15 inches tall. As the normal Geralds age, they loose features, hence why all Elders only have one eye in the middle of their face, some may grow horns as they get older. The Elders of the clans strive to protect and give wisdom to their clan for the rest of their days.
If you are ever to encounter a Gerald, do not follow it. If you happen to find a clan, do not look the Elder in its eye and slowly retreat. They can be a dangerous species to outsiders, especially the Elder. The Elder, if something threatens it or its clan, will attack forcefully. Don't ever take things from a Gerald, they have a special connection with their belongings and can find it at a distance of 300 miles. However, Geralds can form a bond with humans if trusted enough.
