I am a published social scientist and semi-retired academic and former non-profit CEO with an interest in ethics and responsibility by the professional and business community. I am an advocate for policies and regulations that safeguard the public interest and I champion sanctions against companies, groups and organizations who compromise the public good in pursuit of profit or political agendas. I initiate or contribute to articles on the history of health care (including important historical figures), lifestyle and public health, social psychology, and occupational science and occupational therapy. I believe that a society that neglects economic disparity, public education, poverty, homelessness, access to health care, care for mental illness, and social injustices is destined for failure. I am particularly interested in understanding how individual and collective lifestyle and activity choices influence states of well-being over lifetimes.
