Thomas Knobel is the founder and CEO of Nobel Ltd, a telecommunications company that was named to the Inc 500 fastest growing private companies of 2004[1] and named "Best Phone Card" in 2006 by Kiplinger's Personal Finance[2].

Early Life

Thomas Knobel was born in Basel, Switzerland in 1978. He came to The United States in 1994[3] and attended Choate Rosemary Hall, graduating in 1997.

Founding Nobel

While enrolled at Babson College in 1998, Knobel founded Nobel Ltd and grew the company by bootstrapping with no financial assistance[4]. By 2003, five-year growth had reached 14,000%, with four-year growth at 1,420%, earning the #79 spot on the 2004 Inc 500 list under Knobel's leadership.[5]

Public Appearances and Charity

Knobel made an appearance in October 2003 on BisTalk Radio.[6] He was a panelist at the Wharton Club of DC's 9th Annual Entrepreneurship Conference in November 2005, speaking on "Entrepreneurship 101: Turning Your Ideas Into Reality."[7] Knobel was also named to the Ovidiu Rom Halloween Charity Ball Advisory Board in 2006.[8]

Thomas Knobel owns real estate in several locations worldwide and currently resides in Dubai, UAE.
