A page to help organise my use of sources and how to best locate and access copies of sources.

Source locations edit

Online access edit

Through UK library membership, have access to a variety of online resources, including Oxford Dictionary of National Biography, Who's Who and Who Was Who, the digital archive of The Times and the Illustrated London News and other UK newspapers. Also various other resources I haven't used yet, but look good, such as 'Oxford Art' and other Oxford reference books and dictionaries. Also 'Gale Virtual Reference Library' and 'Credo Reference'. For some public domain or free-access sources, online copies of books or journal articles are often available.

Offline access edit

Personal library of books (fairly extensive on some topics), plus books available on library and interlibrary loan. Difficult-to-obtain books can be ordered at the British Library if needed. For many topics, sources needed include journal articles that are behind paywalls (JSTOR is one database that keeps cropping up), so those can be requested at Wikipedia:Resource exchange or obtained direct through a library or other organisation that has access to the journals.

Sources to obtain edit

Listing of specific sources to obtain at some point, and the articles to which they relate.
