Grooming edit

Cavachons are hypoallergenic due to the cross breed, due to this, they do not shed. These dogs require regular brushing or professional grooming due to the amount of hair they produce. Without proper grooming, their coats can become matted and dirty.[3] It is important to regularly check and clean the ears to prevent ear infections, common to the breed. Along with this, dental hygiene is very important with Cavachons to prevent early tooth loss. Prevention of this includes regularly providing bones for the dog to chew.[1]

Lifespan edit

The life expectancy of the Cavachon breed is 10 to 17 years, much longer than the typical small dog.[2]
