This is the user page for CaSJer. Given that my computer literacy leaves much to be desired, I imagine I will screw up the creation of this user page in the same way that I will likely screw up any other edits I might make!

About Me edit

Hi, I'm CaSJer. I started following Wikipedia because I was aghast at their evil campaign to delete all the UFC event articles. After digging around and learning a little bit about their policies and procedures, I discovered that their campaign wasn't as evil as I thought, and I found myself respecting the collaborative atmosphere. I decided to sign up for an account and try to contribute what little I can.

My main interests are MMA and fighting game articles. My current list of things to do, as time allows, is to clean up the Evolution Championship Series article, and to develop the User:Wongba/Justin Wong article into something that can go back to mainspace and survive an AfD.

I've never been particularly good at research, so I was happy when I stumbled upon recent changes patrolling. I'm a whole lot better at identifying and reverting vandalism than I am at adding content, and have found that to be my new passion at Wikipedia. I highly recommend it to anyone else that isn't patient enough to dig up sources.

I'll probably also vote in MMA AfDs from time to time. Overall, I think the standards for MMA fighter inclusion are too lenient, and the standards for event inclusion are too strict. It feels off to me, for instance, that an obscure fighter that's lost three times in Pride is considered notable, but an event like UFC 157 that's received a massive amount of headline mainstream coverage is not.

Anyway, I'm sure most of my edits will screw things up, so please post up on my talk page and let me know what I did wrong!
