Shane Menere (January 28, 1970) is an Australian multimillionaire entrepreneur in the mining and energy sectors. Since the early 2000’s, he has specialized in securing funding for the exploration and development of mineral and energy resources and technology ventures. He is the founder and CEO of his private, family-owned firm TME Group, which is active in capital markets, focused on emerging markets in Technology, Mining and Energy. He is the founder and CEO of Far East Gold Limited.[1], an Australian public company. Menere lead the company to a successful Initial Public Offering (IPO) on the Australian Stock Exchange (ASX:FEG)[2] and has raised over $35 million since its inception.

Early life edit

Menere was born in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia the youngest of two children born to parents Janice (née Kerr) and Laurie (Albert) Menere. Menere attended the public school, Cleveland State High School.

Career edit

Menere got his start as the CEO of Far East Resources. Raising circa $3.5 million in investment funds. Menere orchestrated a partnership with the Southern China Power Grid subsidiary GXWEP, to develop coal mines in Indonesia and supply to mainland China. Offtake agreements totaled over 7MTPA thermal coal.

Menere is currently the CEO of Far East Gold[3] . (ASX:FEG), an Australian mining exploration company focused on advancing six projects in Indonesia and Australia.

Indonesia: A major new Gold and Copper discovery at Woyla in the Aceh Barat region[4]. Menere has led this to its first exploration drilling since its inception over 25 years ago and has done what other major companies (such as BHP, Anglo and Barrick) have not been able to do. Woyla is poised to become a major new muti million-ounce gold discovery and is suspected to host a significant copper porphyry system. Menere was nominated for Mining CEO of the year due to advancing the Woyla project into successful exploration.

Trenggalek: A major new copper gold discovery at Trenggalek in the East Jawa region[5]. With an operational permit in place Trenggalek is considered a potential tier one copper porphyry discovery,

Wonogiri: A 1.15 Moz AuEq Jorc Resource underpins Wonogiri and makes it a strong potential for short terms operations in the country. Continued exploration at Wonogiri in the central Jawa region[6].

Australia: A gold exploration project, acquired the EPM for Hill212 in the Drummond Basin QLD[7]. A gold exploration project, acquired the EPM for Blue Grass Creek in the Drummond Basin QLD[8]. A copper gold exploration and porphyry project, acquired the EPM Mount Clark West in Connors Arc, QLD[9].

Menere also operates TME Group from its corporate headquarters in Singapore – a location that has facilitated his focus on the Asia Pacific region. TME Group has specialized in the provision of venture capital, project acquisitions and related mining based services for a roster of international business enterprises since its founding in 2016.

Menere’s latest venture, Tec Minerals Pty Ltd[10], a private Australian company. Tec Minerals is a Mining Exploration Technology Company backed with its own portfolio (6 assets) in WA and QLD Australia. Tec Minerals controls the Mineral Finder Technology (MFT), a multi-stage satellite (phase 1), and boots-on-the-ground (Phase 2/3) mineral identification technology, to accelerate the discovery of world class mineral deposits. Menere has been searching for a way to significantly reduce time, cost, and project risk in the exploration of mineral reserves. MFT is a mineral specific exploration technology.

Menere continues to lead the space in mineral project development and is currently consulting to numerous companies globally, specifically involved in the Battery Minerals industry.

·       Menere holds Australian citizenship and is also a resident of Indonesia.

·       Menere is an accomplished boat captain (3000GRT), pilot (private fixed wing), scuba instructor, and first-aid instructor.

·       Menere has trained martial arts as a lifelong pursuit and currently holds a 6th Dan in Karate with title of Kyoshi [11]. He was trained under 8th Dans Errol and Desi Wright up to his mid 20’s. He currently trains under Kin Shinden Malcolm Anderson a 11th Dan black belt and Founder of Anderson Bushi Kai[12]
