Holistic health edit

Holistic health or holistic medicine is the idea that alternative medicine looks to the "whole" individual as opposed to the supposed reductionism of conventional medicine. Claims of including the spirit and mind in holistic health are ambigious in that this does not differ from the conventional fields of psychology and psychiatry. The term has been criticized because very little of what is considered holistic includes conventional medicine, and holistic health has been called a rebranding of alternative medicine. Chiropractic proponents of "holistic health" have been criticized for being markedly unholistic, seeing as they promote a single treatment for all conditions.
