As I have been blocked from editing Wikipedia I suppose I will not be contributing anything further here. Over the past year I have contributed a significant amount of high-quality content on the topic of botany. I have always tried to be at least equally polite as anybody I dealt with and I do feel I have on the whole succeeded in this (with one clear exception, when an editor was so courteous I could impossibly match him). With one or two minor exceptions (in which case I apologized immediately) nobody ever pointed out anything contributed by me that was less than a 100% factually accurate.

The biggest problem of Wikipedia (much bigger than vandalism) is that many editors don't care at all about the facts of the topic of the page under discussion, but only about what they want to achieve, and especially about the look they want to achieve. Appearances are everything. Brya 08:52, 3 September 2006 (UTC)
