I am a research librarian at Emory University specializing in African American Studies and United States History. My research interests include the history of enslaved people in the United States and nineteenth-century Southern history. I frequently teach research methods classes and provide information literacy instruction to Emory undergraduates. I am relatively new to Wikipedia editing; however, I have provided research support for classes working on Wikipedia assignments, have contributed to two Art+Feminism Wikipedia edit-a-thons, and currently serve on a digital project at the Emory Libraries to reimagine a print bibliography of African American newspapers and periodicals using Wikidata. When I am editing Wikipedia and Wikidata, I strive to strictly abide by Wikipedia's accepted practices on conflicts of interest, neutrality, and notability. I will always work in the best interest of Wikipedia because that is in line with Emory's educational mission.
