One of the most prolific college Quarterbacks of all-time, Ben Fund holds several Liberty League career and single-season records. Perhaps no accomplishment was more impressive than throwing for 6,127 yards and 63 TDs in 2006, the highest such totals for a college QB at any level, narrowly beating Colt Brennan's 58 TD's for Hawaii (DI) that same season. A 4-year starter, Fund started 45 games, throwing for 18,374 yards, 159 TDs and rushed for another 24 TDs. Described by Terry Bradshaw as "a freakish combination of Randall Cunningham and John Elway," Fund looked destined for a professional career of fame before suffering a concussion in the 2007 East-West Shrine Game. Fund led the Union Dutchman to unparalleled success, but fell short of winning the Division III National Championship when John "Hands Team" Ferrarone dropped a touchdown pass in the endzone in the National Championship Game.
