I'm very new to Wikipedia, but so far I really like it. Because I'm new, I'm trying to be very conservative in my edits. Also, it may be a while before this page is much of anything.
In case anyone is curious about my basic background, I'm 46 (which means I'm old enough to have forgotten more than I currently know). I'm American, though I was born in France to American parents of Lithuanian heritage. I have lived most of my life in California, but I lived for three wonderful years in England and 7 months in France (as a baby only, unfortunately).
I have a BA (bachelor's degree) in Art covering both 2-D Art and 3-D Art. My best artistic experise is in Pottery. I have more experience than I want in doing proofreading, which should come in useful here. Besides proofreading these articles at Wikipedia is way more fun than proofing business letters and other dull documents.
For much of the year, I am an avid bookworm, I especially love Science Fiction & Fantasy, and Historial Romances. For the rest of the year I am too busy to read any novels and stick to any non-fiction books on whatever subject I'm currently intrigued by, some newspaper reading, and the occasional magazine article.
I expect that in the future you will see me editing articles on everything from Bengal Cats to Medieval whatever, since I have had a wide range of interests over my life.
Sorry, this page is so dull as yet, I'll work on that as I learn more about it. I'm from the generation that didn't typically do much with computers until we were older.
