The Emirate of Turkestan was a monarchy established in Tashkent, Turkestan in May 1936.
After the Tashkent Incident in December 1935, many cities around the Uzbek, Turkmen, Kirgiz and Kyrgyz cities declared independence from the Russian Empire and formed armies to fight the Russian Army Central of Turkestan.
General Ibrahim Bek along with Lieutenant General Irgash Bey took control of the Turkestan army in May 1936 and began the Kazak Offensive with 46,000 Cavalry however was routed by the Russians at Almaty in June 1936.
