Doctor Collence Takaingenhamo Chisita
editDr Chisita is a Zimbabwean author, researcher and lecturer who is based in South Africa. He has provided the academic sector with research and knowledge towards academics.[1] He specializes in Library and Information Science and has interests in knowledge management and research and data management among other related information related subjects.[2]
Citizenship
editDr Chisita is a Zimbabwean. He has last worked for Harare Polytechnic before he moved to South Africa where is is Lecturing at the University of South Africa(UNISA).[3] At Harare Polytechnic he was specializing also in lecturing and researching in the Library and Information department.[4]
Education
editDr. C.T. Chisita has a PhD Library and Information Science, a Msc. Library and information Science and BA English and Communications.[2] [5]He also has other various certificates and Diplomas which enhances the qualifications and the area of specialty he is in.
Contribution to the Library sector
editAs an information scientist Dr Chisita has published many books, journal articles, research papers in and out of the library and Information Science sector.[6][7] Most of his articles and books were used as references in the Library enhancement in most libraries in Zimbabwe.[2][8]with his ability to research and address the challenges being faced by professionals, students and organizations, Dr Chisita has left an impact which enabled most people to think outside the box and find solutions to must of the community challenges being faced especially in Zimbabwe. His contribution especially in terms of Literacy, library digitization, open access, embracing ICT's has enhanced the services offered by both the libraries and academic institutions.
