Beaniecopter learned to type on a manual typewriter; this was before entering high school, circa 1963. He used a Smith-Corona portable in high school and university, and purchased an IBM Correcting Selectric circa 1975. He switched to the Dvorak layout circa 1983, simltaneous with his acquisition of an IBM Personal Computer. At first he used a Keytronics Dvorak keyboard, which, thankfully, implemented the classic Dvorak layout, rather than the ANSI Dvorak layout. Implementation of the classic Dvorak layout is his first priority upon installing an operating system, whether Windoze or GNU/Linux.
