About me edit
My name is Baran Deniz Kaya. I was born in Istanbul, Turkey. I'm currently living in Sydney, Australia. I came Australia for getting better education and interact with different individuals from various different countries.
I'm a student at the University of Sydney, studying Bachelor of Commerce (Finance and Business information systems) in a Wikipedia Education class and I'm currently learning how to edit and contribute to Wikipedia.
I completed my high school education in Istanbul, I also did one year international student exchange program in Paris, France.
I can basically speak three languages: French, Turkish and English. Beside of this, I still try to learn some basic Aussie slangs.
My interests edit
I really enjoyed the following activities and my interest are:
- Swimming
- Reading economics article
- Watching Netflix
- Taking role for voluntary activities
I am also professional national team swimmer. I really like to spend my leisure time by socialising with new people from different regions.
Goal edit
This is my first year in USYD and I picked major as Finance and minor as Business Information Systems. I literally try to adapt the online learning environment, dealing with life challenges and fulfil my responsibilities expected by my family.
In this semester, I'm currently studying OLES2129 which is also know as Writing for Digital World. We are currently learning editing, referencing, citing articles. At the same time, we are exploring Wikipedia.
In this semester for this lecture and Wikipedia, my actual focus point is contributing relevant, reliable sources and informations for this platform. I feel so great and already got excited for starting this purpose.
