My name is Barak Kol, professor of Physics at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Polak Chair in Theoretical Physics, Former Head of Physics Studies during 2015-8, see http://phys.huji.ac.il/~barak_kol/ .
I completed a BSc degree in Tel-Aviv University, and earned a PhD in Physics from Stanford University in 1998. After post-doc positions at Tel Aviv University and the Princeton Institute for Advanced Study, I joined the faculty of the Hebrew University in 2002.
Apart for research and teaching, I see great value in communicating good contemporary science to the public.
