Matthew Nimetz is the United Nations diplomatic mediator for the naming dispute between the Republic of Macedonia and Greece.
He is also a managing director of the investment firm General Atlantic, LLC and was previously a partner in the Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison law firm in New York. Currently he is a director of The Nature Conservancy of New York, chair of the Advisory Committee of Central European University, trustee of the Committee for Economic Development, and member of the Center for Democracy and Reconciliation in Southeast Europe.
