edit1) Philosophy related stuffs (I've read most of the Western Cannon and Early Chinese works... more recently I've been reading more and more Buddhism, but it will take me another decade to claim expertise).
2) WWII Submarine History. Both technical things and cool stories. The classic book won't fail to put you to sleep: US Submarine Operations in WWII... look it up. For the German side the book "Operation Drumbeat" is a must read.
3) Bicycles. Cars are for losers in my opinion. Even in "bad public transit" cities, you are without excuse. To quote the champion, "ride your bike, ride your bike, ride your bike".
4) Increasingly politics and social issues.
