On September 16, 2022 in Weld County, Colorado, a train operated by Union Pacific collided with a police cruiser owned by the Platteville Police Department. Yareni Rios-Gonzales, arrested on charges related to road rage and menacing with a firearm, was handcuffed in the back of the vehicle when it was hit.
