Shahid Shamshad (rashshan miyan) advocate was a noted lawyer of barabanki district. He was born in a zamindaar family of Kheoli village near dewa shareef in tahseel nawabgunj. His father late Shamshad Husain was an additional district magistrate. He was born on 9 february 1928 and died on 19 october 1997. His primary education took place in barabanki. After completing primary education, he did his further studies at lucknow christian college and lucknow university. Former President Dr. Shankar Dayal Sharma was the teacher of his law classes at Lucknow University.After completing law in 1952, he started practicing in Barabanki Court. He was a very intelligent and ready -witted person and was very sympathetic to the poor and down trodden people . In the court case of poor people he used to lobby their case totally free of cost. It is said that he trained at least one thousand lawyers in his whole life. That is why his lawyer pupil used to call him USTAAD . In the late sixties, he also became the Vice Chairman of the Municipality of barabanki and took additional charge of the Chairman of Barabanki nagarpalika for a few days.In He also formed ATYACHAAR VIRODHI MORCHA So that there is no oppression on the poor and the down trodden. He has also joined the Indian Lok Dal (Bahuguna) and the All India Muslim Forum and became state president of all india muslim forum. In the memory of late shahid shamshad alias rashshan miyan advocate his lawyer Shagird organizes Akhil Bharatiya Mushaira and Kavi Sammelan every year on the occasion of his birthday.
