A Little About Me edit

These are some conventional polythiophenes (which I synthesized) in chloroform solution, photoluminescent with differing colors because of their different effective conjugation length.

This is the photoluminescence of two very similarly structured polyfluorene derivatives. Intramolecular excited state proton transfer enables the relatively red shifted emission of the sample on the right.

I am a Materials Science and Engineering PhD pre-candidate at the University of Michigan. I study Conjugated polymer solar cells. Hopefully this helps qualm any fears about the validity of my wikipage edits.

My favorite characteristic about conjugated molecules is that they are luminescent. My second favorite characteristic about conjugated molecules is that they sometimes smell sweet (hence aromatic).

I have contributed to the Polyfluorene wikipage, and appreciate the help from the wiki community which was received along the way.
