Data Over Audio

Data-over-audio (also known as data over audio, DoA, and data over sound) is the process of using sound waves to transmit digital data.

Data-over-audio utilizes both audible (20 to 20,000 Hz, though most adult humans cannot hear frequencies above 18 kHz) and inaudible audio frequencies to transmit information for secure, low-power, reliable communication between individual devices or via broadcast to many devices at once.
