My name is Alicia O'Neal. I am from a small town in Indiana and a senior at Cornell this year. I am a Pre-Med student interested in both medicine and education- which is the reason I have been drawn to do plenty of learning on childhood obesity, nutrition, and food insecurity. I usually enjoy learning from mass production magazines and newspapers. My research interests combine those three topics with differentiating rural and urban poverty (through exploring food and information swamps & deserts). Since I am not as technologically apt as many other people, I am excited to be editing Wikipedia as it will provide me with an opportunity to further explore how soft drink consumptions relates to childhood obesity and allow me to develop skills that I have not yet acquired. With that, I hope to gain useful skills, and learn information from the Wikipedia community as well.
