Resident of northern California since 1979 (at age 23), except during graduate studies and research out of state. Native (born 1955) of Callaway County, Missouri (but descendant of one of the numerous pro-Union Callaway families during US Civil War). Descendant of former California resident parents, and of California '49er' pioneer families from Callaway and Lewis counties in Missouri, including participants in the drafting of the 2nd Constitution of California in 1879, and of court judges holding offices in both states -- and descendant of 3 of 4 paternal and maternal families including US Revolutionary War Veterans.

Advocate of Scientific Critical Thinking, and of Separation of Church and State as mandated by the US Constitution and expressed by Thomas Jefferson -- and thus also an advocate for the repeal of the unconstitutional "Faith-Based Initiative" (aka "The Moonie Act"), for the sake of America's young people and their ability to compete effectively in an increasingly globally-competitive scientific and technological society, where America could lose out if not sober, alert, and on guard. Dismantling US public education is Stupid, and the beginning of US national decline in the context of increasing globalism.
