Razeen Sally is a Professor at Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, National University of Singapore, and Director of the European Centre for International Political Economy (ECIPE), a global-economy think tank based in Brussels, which he co-founded in 2006.[1] He is a very well-known expert in International Economy, International Trade, and Trade Policies. He has written extensively on the World Trade Organization, the Free Trade Agreements, and on different aspects of trade policy in Asia.

Early life

Razeen's father was from Sri Lanka, and his mother was British. He attended St. Thomas College, Mount Lavinia. He has held research, teaching and advisory positions at various institutes and think tanks across Europe, the USA, Asia and South Africa. He is also an Adjunct Scholar at the Cato Institute in Washington DC, Chair of the Global Agenda Council on Competitiveness of the World Economic Forum, and a member of the Mont Pelerin Society.

Razeen Sally’s research and teaching focuses on global trade policy and Asia in the world economy. He has written extensively on the WTO, FTAs, and on different aspects of trade policy in Asia. He has also written on the history of economic ideas, especially the theory of commercial policy.
