I am a university professor in the United States, a long-time Wikipedia user, but a relatively recent contributor.
My primary area of research and teaching is Portuguese and Lusophone African literatures and cultures. The majority of my contributions to date are related to course assignments, in which I sought to involve graduate and undergraduate students in improving and expanding Wikipedia content, especially in reference to Portuguese-language African writers and literary works.
