RAFF is a distributor and subscription-based streaming OTT service specialized in art animation contents. It offers online streaming of a hand-curated selection of films. It also houses a film database and an online community and editorial publication.
Marketed as a premier platform for and by animation lovers, the service coined the hashtag #notakidsthings to identify their crusade to remove the stigma of animation being labeled as a kid's medium.
The service is developed by the Raff Foundation and it is registered in the Netherlands as a stichting.
History
editRAFF was founded in 2019 by Argentinian-born entrepreneur Esteban Cuenca as a social network and premier platform for animation lovers, aimed to consolidate an alternative distribution circuit for independent animated films and to expand the demographic of the medium.
