Geng Jiaqi (Chinese: 耿袈岂; Pinyin: Gěng Jiāqǐ; born 1 July 1993 in Shanghai) is a Chinese football player who currently plays for Chinese Super League side Shanghai East Asia as a Defender.
Club career
editBorn in Shanghai, Geng joined Genbao Football Academy in July 2005. He was promoted to academy's first team Shanghai East Asia's squad in 2011.[1] On 5 May 2011, he made his senior debut in the first round of 2011 Chinese FA Cup which Shanghai beat Hubei Zhongbo 2–0. His league debut came on 27 August 2011, in a 2–2 away draw against Guangdong Sunray Cave, coming on as a substitute for Sun Kai in the 78th minute.[2] On 2 June 2012, he scored his first goal for Shanghai East Asia in the second round of 2012 Chinese FA Cup which Shanghai beat Fujian Smart Hero 6–0.[3] Geng made 4 league appearances in the 2012 season, as Shanghai East Asia won the champions and promoted to the top flight.
