Dais Analytic Corporation edit

Dais Analytic Corporation is a technology firm located in Odessa, Florida. The company was founded in 1993 and produces nanotechnology polymer plastics for alternative energy solutions.[1] Dais Analytic works in the areas of water purification and HVAC. The company has also been working in close partnership with General Electric to develop and test an ultracapacitor energy storage system.

Nanotechnology edit

Dais Analytic works with polymer resins and materials to develop a proprietary nanotechnology family of polymers and processes. The manufacturing process utilizes existing equipment to create high charge density polyelectrolytes, which have a wide array of useful characteristics including excellent ion conduction, ion-exchange capability, moisture transfer, and anti-fouling properties. Dais' materials are derived from the sulfonation of styrene-containing block copolymers, offering excellent ionic conductivity and water transport.[2] The polymers can be covalently crosslinked and compounded with a variety of other polymers and/or inorganic fillers, and thus represent the basis for a broad class of materials with unique properties.[3]

Current Undertakings edit

Dais, with the Pasco Economic Development Council and the U.S. Trade and Development Office, recently released details of a $200 million dollar international trade agreement in China for these technologies.[4] Dais Analytic is also currently converting a Water Treatment Plant in Pasco County to convert wastewater into safe drinking water.[5]
