Introduction

edit

I am Alan Fletcher -- I often use "Alanf777" on forums.

My academic background is in Physics, Radio Astronomy and Computer Science. My professional life has been mostly in Electronic Design Automation. More recently I have been involved in web design. I have also been a hemi-semi-demi-professional news and event photographer, librarian, military serviceman (conscript), treasurer or secretary of various organizations, a confirmed folkie, singer/songwriter, actor, soundman, and radio programmer (KPFZ). Oh, and an elected politician : Broxbourne Council election, 1973.

Declarations

edit

I've declared myself as a "connected contributor" in the ITT article (because I was a researcher ... middle-manager in 1970-1980), and (informally) in the KPFZ-FM article because I am a volunteer.

I have been accused of being a single-purpose editor (I have actually contributed to 177 articles) and of being involved off-wiki with promoting Cold Fusion and/or Rossi's Energy Catalyzer. I have not worked for, or benefited financially from any organization in these fields, and thus do not need to declare myself a "connected contributor". I have ANALYZED the E-Cat extensively, and am [was?] personally convinced that it is real, even though it may not have risen to the level of "scientific proof".
