Hello there. I'm 17 and, like my username says, I'm a drummer who lives in the U.S. state of Alaska (specifically, I reside in its largest city, Anchorage). I also play a little bass guitar. I sing too, but I'm more of a back-up than a lead. My favorite music is classic rock, although I also like big band, classic jazz, soul, early heavy metal (not today's crap), (some) rap, blues, and rock & roll. Some of my favorite music artists are AC/DC, Led Zeppelin, The Jimi Hendrix Experience, Van Halen, Velvet Revolver, Guns N' Roses, Motley Crue, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Black Sabbath, Boston, Ozzy Osbourne, The James Gang, The Doobie Brothers, The Black Keys, Pink Floyd, The Steve Miller Band, Humble Pie, James Brown, The Temptations, Michael Jackson, The Jackson 5, Thin Lizzy, Journey, Nirvana, Rage Against The Machine, Queen, Rush, Deep Purple, Dio, Bad Company, Genesis, Phil Collins, Average White Band, Boz Scaggs, as well as Earth, Wind and Fire, and many more.
Right now I work as an assistant to my dad, who runs a collection agency. We help our clients collect court judgments against debtors. If you owe at least $1,000 to a party that won a judgment against you in court, and you currently or at the date of the judgment live/lived in Alaska, you could very well hear from us. The work is a terrible bore, but it earns me money, and that's what jobs are for. It's certainly not going to be my career choice anyhow.
Some of my hobbies, besides playing drums and bass guitar with my younger guitarist brother, include video games, photography, doing various things outside (biking, swimming, skiing, whatever), and of course, editing on Wikipedia (a hobby I had put down for a while but have now resumed). I have also just begun working on Wikisource, something which I'm very excited about getting into. Helping other people while reading great books and works for free is amazing.
Once I graduate high school and turn 18 this December I plan on moving to Florida and subsequently taking a year-long break before going to college to get a degree as a cardiovascular technician. I only have to go to college for two years and I start out making $30 an hour (no danger here, cath lab techs are in high demand). Pretty smart, I think. Hopefully during my break I'll be able to travel the States and go to some European countries. Seeing Ireland, Italy, the UK, France, Germany, and Switzerland would be pretty sweet. I'll have time to travel the world later. I plan on doing just that eventually. You only have one short life. Why not try to experience everything during the fact?
