Sedat Aloglu (b. 1950) was a Turkish MP. He was born in İstanbul in 1950. After having graduated from the Faculty of Business Administration of İstanbul University, he completed his MBA at University of New Haven in the USA. He earned a Ph.D. degree from İstanbul University in 2003 and received a Honorary Doctorate degree from University of New Haven in 2009. Dr. Aloğlu speaks English and German. He is married and has three sons.

Aloglu held several posts in the Feniş Group Of Companies from 1970 onwards.

He served on the Board of the İstanbul Chamber of Industry (ISO) and on the Executive Board of the Foreign Economic Relations Board (DEİK).

Aloglu was Chairman of the Turkish Aluminium Industrialists Association (TALSAD) through 1987 - 1993 and Chairman of the Turkish Section of the Turkish – US Business Council from 1988 until 1992.

He served as V. Chairman of the Economic Development Foundation (İKV) from 1990 to 1992 and as Chairman from December 1992 until the end of 1995.

Aloglu has been elected as a MP from İstanbul at the 20 th term of Turkish Parliament and chaired the Foreign Affairs Committee during 96-97. He was also a member of the European Council Parliamenter Assambly and West European Union Assambly during the same period.

Dr. Aloglu returned to business and currently is the CEO of the Feniş Group.
