Yo.

I lurk around here sometimes.

I'm generally pretty boring.

...is cheddar cheese, if only for this excerpt:

A cheese of 7,000 pounds (3,175 kg) was produced in Ingersoll, Ontario in 1866 and exhibited in New York and Britain; it was immortalised in the famous poem "Ode on the Mammoth Cheese Weighing over 7,000 Pounds" by James McIntyre, who is widely alleged to be the worst poet in all of Canadian literature.

At first I thought this had to have been vandalism, or someone's idea of a joke. But following the James McIntyre intralink, as well as the external links on that page, seems to confirm it all.

You know what they say. The truth is funnier than encyclopedic articles about cheese.

...what? Doesn't anyone else enjoy reading up about what they're snacking on?

Update: it has been brought to my attention that in the above links, any reference to McIntyre's widely-held lack of talent has since been removed. This is surely WP:NPOV at its finest, I guess. Something tells me if he was widely held to be a good poet, the noble editors responsible would have no problem leaving that in.

Curiously, the external links confirming the suggestion remain (at least for now). This seems to satisfy WP:Verifiability, but I've long since learned that Wikipedia is controlled solely by the absurdly determined; and that, I am not.
