Norman McLeod McDougall (11 July 1851 - 29 November 1937) was a Scottish painter.[1][2]

Life

His father was Duncan McDougall (born c. 1812), a butcher from Kilmorish in Argyll.

His mother was Agnes Moir (born c. 1820) from Fintry in Stirlingshire. They married on 17 December 1847 in Glasgow.

Norman McLeod McDougall was born in Glasgow on 11 July 1851.[3]

He was married twice. The first was to Mary Ann Shattock (c. 1854 - 1931) on 28 January 1875 in London; the second was to Janet Murray Young (12 November 1881 - 1974) from Partick in Glasgow.

Death

He died on 29 November 1937 at Eaglebank in Innellan, south of Dunoon in Argyll. His funeral was in Carmunnock churchyard, near Glasgow; held on 3 December 1937.
