James Hutton (8 April 1894 - 29 April 1957) was a Scottish painter.^[1]^[2]

Life

His father was John Hutton (born c. 1868), a tobacconist from Dundee.

His mother was Jemima Luke (born 25 September 1864) from Dundee. John and Jemima married 7 September 1892 in Dundee.

James Hutton was born on 6 April 1894 in Broughty Ferry, Dundee.

He married Helen Agnes Rattray (8 April 1894 - 23 February 1953) from Dundee. They married on 18 July 1919 at 43 Castle Street, Tayport in Fife.

He died on 29 April 1957 in Maryfield Hospital, Dundee.
