Harriet Bruce (6 January 1853 - 22 March 1905) was a Scottish painter.[1]
Life
editHer father was Henry Bruce (c. 1819 - 25 May 1895), a paper manufacturer.
Her mother was Helen Maria Chalmers (c. 1826 - 1 June 1882) from Bridport in Dorset, England.
Harriet Chalmers Bruce was born on 6 January 1853 in Currie, on the outskirts of Edinburgh.

editShe died on 22 March 1905 at her home in Torduff in Juniper Green, near Currie. She is buried in Currie cemetery.[2]
