Article Selection Rationale
editI am choosing to create a new Wikipedia article titled Cat Avian Influenza. This article will have a description of the symptoms of cats with this virus in them, a history of when the virus was discovered in cats, and how to prevent or treat the virus. I chose this topic because I am a cat lady and try to watch over my feline friends as much as I can. With this knowledge, I can also help other cat ladies (or men) prevent their cats from getting sick in the first place and then having to spend a lot of money trying to make their feline friends feel better. What's more is that I chose this article because it will give me an in-depth look as to why some viruses can infect hosts from completely different families (avian to mammal) and what is so different about this virus.
Article Reflection
editThe article Avian influenza in cats is completed, for now. Since I am a cat owner this is a subject that I will be paying attention to this topic and if there is anything that needs to be updated, I will do so. However, I'm excited to see if any other Wikipedia users have different suggestions and edits that they would like to make.
