Rt. Hon Gwendolyn "Gee" Bernard () was a local councillor, political activist, campaigner, community organiser and educator. Originally from Jamaica, Bernard arrived in London to seek a better life for herself and family. While raising six children as a single parent, she realised she needed to educate herself, and undertook several courses that eventually led to her politicization and entry into government.

Gee Bernard is notable for having become the first black local councillor in Croydon and the first black member of the Inner London Education Authority (ILEA). She founded the Croydon Afro Caribbean Family Organisation (C.A.C.F.O) and was an active member of the Labour Party.
