Matson, Inc. is a subsidiary of Alexander & Baldwin that is know for transport of Hawaii's sugar and other freight cargo between the continental US and ports in Hawaii, Guam, Micronesia, and China[1]. Horizon Lines is another container shipping company that transports cargo, which can be to consumer goods to building materials, to and from the continental US and Alaska, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico[2].
