Introduction

This page aims to keep track of the various known and suspected socks of User:Maleabroad. The motivation is to consolidate sock investigations in one place.

Note that socks sometimes appear as unregistered IP users, often from the IP range 136.159.32.*

This thread and this one suggest that there may be meatpuppets involved, too.

Anyone is free to contribute and add to this page, but for obvious reasons I (i.e. Abecedare) retain the right to revert/refactor any changes.

• How to use this page:
  • If you spot an editor, who you suspect is a sock of Maleabroad, add his name as a new section.
  • List specific diffs and explain what ties the edit to Maleabroad.
  • If you are convinced that your/someone else's suspicion is unfounded, please strike out the corresponding entry.

• Recreated Buddha From a Hindu Perspective (itself a creation of socks User:HinduDefender and User:Geomatician) as Mahavishnu Gautama, which was deleted after AFD discussion at which other IP/non-IP socks of user commented. These articles were POV forks of Buddha as an Avatar of Vishnu, which socks of Maleabroad have often vandalized.

• I suspect that Maleabroad is now involved with Lingam in connection with previous vandalism related to the Ligayat sect, as another confirmed sock of his (ChangeDetection) has been active there. See: [[7]]. For those who may be unfamiliar with this issue, the Lingayats are connected with certain social and political themes which Maleabroad espouses, and the Linga is an important symbol for them. • It may be too early to be sure that this is Maleabroad, but I have a gut feeling that the disruptive pattern of editing here is a sign of a tactic change. The pattern of immediately going into an edit war is characteristic on this brand new account. If he is not getting results on Hinduism pages he may be moving to direct disruption of Buddhism articles. Please put Buddhism on your watch pages.
