I've been researching the cultural perspectives of disability since the 1980s. My colleagues and I have been investigating the social, cultural, and civil rights perspectives on the phenomena of disability in contrast to the medical approach. Currently I edit the New Paradigm of Disability Bibliography, [1] and am uncovering the disability people and stories in popular music.
