Alexis Joanne Roe (born December 24th 1990) is a British singer, songwriter, record producer and actress, better known mononymously as Alexa. Alexa began her career in 2005 as a member of the R&B girl group Honeyz at the age of 15. The group would score 7 UK top forty hit singles and 2 UK top twenty albums before she left the group in 2007 following arguments within the group. In March 2008, she would join the pop/R&B group Liberty X who attained success with 3 top forty albums and 10 top twenty singles before splitting up in 2008 following declining sales.
In 2009, Alexa branched into an acting career when she joined the cast of BBC One drama Hustle. She remained in the cast for four series until its eventual end in 2012. In March 2012, Alexa signed a two album deal with RCA Records and released her debut solo album "Overcome" in October 2012 and became the first #1 album of her career. The album was also home to two UK #1 singles. In early 2013, RCA in the US picked up Alexa for the release of her second album which was released in 2014 becoming her first US #1 album with the three singles released hitting #1 on the Billboard Hot 100.
