My name is Carmen Acevedo Butcher. I have a Ph.D. in Medieval Studies from the University of Georgia in Athens. Check out my website and blog. I'm currently an associate professor of English and Scholar-in-Residence at Shorter College in Rome, Georgia. I was awarded the 2006 Carnegie Foundation Teacher of the Year award for the state of Georgia. My book on Hildegard has just been released.
