Gulnaz Mahir Dadashova (Azerbaijani: Gülnaz Mahir qızı Dadaşova; March 21, 1975) — Doctor of Medicine, professor. Director of the Scientific-Research Institute of Cardiology (SRIC) named after academician J. Abdullayev from 2018 to present. At the same time, since 2007 she has been delivering lectures at the Department of Clinical Pharmacology in the Azerbaijan Medical University, and since 2019, in the English division of the III Department of Internal Deceases in the Azerbaijan Medical University. In 2016-2017, Chief Coordinator of OPTIMIZE-HF Azerbaijan Registry for Chronic Heart Failure, organized by the European Society of Cardiology (ESC); Head of the "Cardiovascular Pharmacology" working group at the Azerbaijan Cardiology Society (ACS).

Gulnaz Dadashova was born on March 21, 1975, in Baku city. She graduated from Secondary school No. 191 with a medal and was admitted the Azerbaijan Medical University in 1992.

A Graduated Higher Education Institution: Azerbaijan State Medical University; was admitted to the Master’s degree program of the Zurich University in Switzerland in 2019 (4th Postgraduate Course in Heart Failure – PCHF, Switzerland, Zurich) and graduated in 2022 (Certificate of Advanced Studies UZH in Heart Failure – Zurich, Switzerland, 26 March 2022). [1]

Scientific activity

Scientific degree and scientific title: Doctor of Medicine, professor. Ph.D. thesis defenсe year, specialty code and specialty name, subject title: 3218.01 – Cardiology "Therapy optimization of arterial hypertension for women in postmenopausal period” - 2008; In 2016 - Doctoral thesis defense year, specialty code and specialty name, subject title: 3218.01 – Cardiology “Gender characteristics of chronic heart failure, opportunities for improving diagnosis and pharmacological therapy, defining predictors of prognosis and survival” - 2018. Was appointed a chief laboratory technician at Scientific-Research Institute of Cardiology named after academician J. M. Abdullayev in 2006 and a senior research associate in 2014. From 2018 to present - Director of the Scientific-Research Institute of Cardiology named after academician J. Abdullayev. At the same time, since 2007 she has been delivering lectures at the Department of Clinical Pharmacology at the Azerbaijan Medical University, and since 2019, in the English division of the III Department of Internal Deceases at the Azerbaijan Medical University.

Other activities In 2016-2017, Chief Coordinator of OPTIMIZE-HF Azerbaijan Registry for Chronic Heart Failure, organized by the European Society of Cardiology (ESC); Head of the "Cardiovascular Pharmacology" working group at the Azerbaijan Cardiology Society (ACS); delivered reports at scientific conferences held in the CIS countries and Europe on several occasions; was the recipient of the “Grant for Young Researchers” from the European, Japanese and Canadian Societies of Cardiology. They participated in the Preceptorship "Best practice in managing heart failure patients" in the Heart İnstitute, Kaplan Medical Center (Israel, Telaviv, 2017) as chief coordinator.

Up to 80 scientific papers were published (more than 13 articles in international ranking journals, Thomson Reuter, Scopus, Pub Med) based on her scientific works results.[3], [4]
