Hi, 64.154.26.251:

Just a quick hello to say that I appreciate your calm and respectful discourse (from what I've read of it) on the Coulter talk page. As I'm sure you can tell, a lot of bullies, liars, and just plain unwik people hang out there. I have edited with them, and it doesn't matter how nice you are, or how unseemly, they will still revert your edits and refuse to collaborate. For all his faults, Big Daddy knows exactly what he's talking about in this regard, and one of the reasons they are so upset is that he has unabashedly exposed them for what they are, and is completely unafraid of anything they might do.

Now some unsolicited advice: I want to strongly encourage you to consider creating an account and stay logged in. Don't make up your mind right away, but take some time to ponder these advantages over the next week:

  • You are more secure, rather than less secure, as right now your IP is exposed.
  • You can choose a name, which is more personable, and will find that you are treated a bit less suspiciously. Calling some "Dave" is so much nicer than "64.154.26.251," so you will make more friends more quickly. One cannot recognize someone's "face" if it is a number. That is what handles are for.
  • It is much less likely that people will accuse you of sock puppetry. At the moment, a lot of reckless and unsubstantiated charges are being thrown around. Not good. Those who think you are Big Daddy must be extremely stupid or outright dishonest; your styles are completely different.
  • You can participate in the community activities more easily, like RfCs and what not.
  • You can take credit for all edits from anonymous IPs if you wish.

Stop by my talk page any time. You are welcome here.
